David Hines is a sports architect and independent stadium and arena consultant with more than 20 years of international experience across over 100 sports venue, entertainment and major-event projects.

His experience covers the complete venue lifecycle, including feasibility, project briefing, sports masterplanning, seating-bowl design, field-of-play requirements, technical design review, construction support, operational planning and post-occupancy assessment.

David works with venue owners, developers, architects, public authorities and sports organisations to establish clear project requirements, test design proposals and identify the technical, operational and commercial issues that determine whether a venue will perform successfully.

His multidisciplinary experience includes coordination with structural, civil and building-services engineers and with specialist consultants covering crowd flow, fire safety, inclusive design, security, transport, acoustics, façade engineering, lighting, ICT, broadcast, waste management and venue operations.
